As I have understood, I will not be able to get the jobseeker's allowance or benefit but, I just want to make sure I did not miss anything.

My situation is the following, I have being working in Ireland for eighteen months, and on the 31th of May I will be made redundant.

On the 3th of June I will go to my hometown, in Spain, and try to find work there and stay at least for three months, if things do not work well I would come back.

Since I have been less than two years working, I think I would just be able to go for the Jobseeker's Allowance and in this case, as I will be in Spain, I would like to know if there is any chance I can export the jobseeker's allowance there.

On the other hand, my girlfriend has been working here for two years, and on the 31th of May she will quit her job in order to come to Spain with me.

As she will be quiting her job, would she be able to get Jobseeker's benefit or Jobseeker's Allowance and export it there?

    Thanks to everyone in advance!!

You can not get jobseekers allowance while out of the country. If you girlfriend qualifies for JSB she may collect it while looking for work in Spain.

If you worked in Spain prior to working in Ireland you can have your contributions from Spain transferred to Ireland and you may qualify for jobseekers benefit in which case you could transfer your jsb to Spain for 3 months whilst looking for work in Spain. The confirmation of contributions paid in Spain prior to coming to Ireland could take some time to process.

With regard to your girlfriend... its unlikely that she will qualify for jsb straight away as she will have left her job of her own accord and can be disqualified for up to 9 weeks or indefinetly is she isnt looking for work.
