    Hi Red Alert,

    Thanks for your post.

With the IBAN and BIC, you can register the details as a SEPA Payee on Bank of Ireland 365 Online.

    Thanks

With respect Billy you did not answer Red Alert's question. Also just to point out in "pay a bill" you have a choice of chorus and 02 which both no longer exist.

As a BOI Customer your attitude seems to be 'oh go away set up a payee -don't be bothering us and who cares if chorus and 02 still show up -just don't pick them'.

If that is your attitude people can switch bank's.

There's also the need to ensure that the reference is in the correct format for IW to identify as the account number: doubly important given that an IW bill has both an account number and a WPRN.

    Hi Delta2113,

    Thank you for your post.

We are looking into your query at the moment and will get back to you here once we have an update.

    Thanks,
    Elaine

    Hi Delta2113,

Our Digital team have advised that the Bill Pay options available to our customers on 365Online are under review as part of an ongoing evaluation of our Digital Banking Services.

We would like to thank you for your feedback and assure you that we have forwarded your comments to our Digital team who will take them into account in their review.

Just to confirm, Irish Water can not be added as a Bill Payee however, as Billy mentioned it can be registered as a SEPA payee to allow transfers.

Should these services change in the future, we will notify our customers via the usual channels.

We hope this helps clarify your query.

    Thanks,
    Elaine

    Hi,

Any update on this?  AIB had no problems adding Irish Water to their list of bills to pay.

When is the money (including lost growth) Michael Noonan took in the Pension Levy going to be paid back?

Tara, this is not your fault I appreciate, but this response is symptomatic of everything that's wrong with BoI's approach to digital banking. This is a simple "add record" process, and should necessitate such an arduously long turnaround.

    Bump!
Came in to ask the same question.
Any updates? I'd have the same concerns regarding traceability if I set it up as a SEPA payment instead of a bill.
    Thanks

    Hi Wise Old Elf,

Thank you for getting in contact with us here on Boards.ie.

Bill Payees and SEPA payee offer the same traceability. Once you set up a SEPA payee for Irish Water and include the correct reference as instructed on their leaflet, please be assured that any transfer can be traced.

If the option to add Irish Water as a Bill Payee becomes available, we will post on this thread to update all customers.

We hope this offers you peace of mind and if we can assist you with anything else, please don't hesitate to contact us again.

    Thanks,
    Elaine
