Need Help With Manual for 47 year old Novum Sewing Machine!!

Hi all....

My daughter just received her very first sewing machine... a hand me down machine from my mum.... and at 47 years old.... we are blessed that it's still even working.... problem is... we and she knows very little about how one of these machines work... so we are desperately looking to find a user manual.

I can email you on a photo of the machine so that would help.... as there's no obvious marking... or version name... but I have seen Mark III and Deluxe manuals online.

Ours is grey to the top and a light baby blue all over with a wooden base and speckled carrier case.

Any comments or help in finding a manual for this machine would be very much appreciated.

Is this it? Or similar? Might there be some thing online about old machines and how to use them?

Thanks Maryanne.... I have tried all that and viewed thousands of images and at this stage still no exact match.... some are close... but buttons and dials in slightly different places.... lots of manuals available to buy but just not for the model we have.

We had those machines in school! If you have a picture I can write out the basics. I gave away the one I had but I never had a manual for it. Is able to get compatible parts in the singer centre in Waterford.

What do you think your daughter would like to sew, cotton?

I'm pretty new on Boards.ie so I can't add or attach any images.

She's mostly going to be using Cotton fabric.
