Hi. Have a 03 Mk4 1.4 golf with central locking. The passenger front door won't open from the outside. Thankfully I have a recent Nct so am not under pressure to repair it inmediately but it needs to be done. Do you want to attempt fixing this DIY (as you posted in DIY section)?

Does it feel like the handle is not connecting to locking mechanism?

You can remove the door card and see if the mechanism seems to be unhooked or faulty (compare to driver side).

Biko, yes and thank you for the clip......the door handle on the exterior passenger front side is not engaging the release mechanism whereas from the inside no probs.
