Need a new battery for '08 Lexus IS220d, got quoted daft price from Lexus.
If I take out the old one myself will the car lose radio codes etc or would it cause any other problems?
It's a keyless start car, so does that mean a battery can be more expensive?
The original battery from new is still in the car if it matters.
Thanks for any help in advance.
    Scienceless.

Depends, some Lexus will hold the radio stations. The electric windows auto function will need to be reset, details here...

How much was the daft price?

The battery change does not cause loss of any serious settings. The fm radio settings may go but that's easily sorted.

You will loose control of your electronic windows. It's easily fixed though. Switch on ignition to level 2 (do not start engine), and go with every window to the middle and back to the top. This will "reinitialize" the windows.

Yussa batteries in Halfordsl come with a 5 year warranty and are really worth the extra few bob. If you're stuck I can tell you the exact model.

Keyless entry etc is completely unaffected.
