Laser eye surgery

    Hi everyone
I've posted here before re eye surgery and I'm just wondering if someone could maybe share their experiences about this particular issue.
I had LASIK 6 years ago and I'm now struggling again. I'm wearing glasses for driving as road signs are impossible and night time is worse again. After much consideration I've decided to get a top up done. However they will not do LASIK again, the top up will be done with lasek/PRK.

Has anyone had LASIK originally and been topped up with lasek?

Or maybe there are some opticians, ophthalmologists, surgeons etc on this who could maybe offer an insight?

I'm now -1.75 and -1.00. I was originally -5.75 and -6.00 and initially after the LASIK I was -0.25 in both eyes from what I remember!

Any info at all would be appreciated!

I had LASIK last year at optilase and thankfully haven't had need for any corrections. A friend at work did though and she had LASIK intitially and PRK on the correction. She had good results but did say that dry eye is worse after the PRK than with the initial surgery.

Thanks for your reply. I was fine vision wise up to 4 years post op. It's just in the last two years it's deteriorated unfortunately. Did your friend continue to suffer with the dry eyes or was it just a temporary post op thing?
