Irish Driving License in the UK

    Hi folks,

    I'm currently looking briefly at some opportunities in the UK.

    I have a full "B" category license however, I would be looking to obtaining a C license in the near future.

    How would I go about obtaining a C License in the UK if I obtain an Irish Driving License rather than a UK one?

    Best bet would be to ask the UK 'Motor Tax Office' - the DVLA based in Swansea, Wales -

    I would imagine that you would need to be based in the UK (i.e. UK address, proof of residence (bills in your name), etc) in order to apply for a UK provisional C licence.

    It would be more straightforward to do the C test in Ireland (I passed both C and C+E here).

    hi guys

    quick question I have a provisional Irish license and I have a few point on it lets say and I wanted to no if I could start a new license
    in the UK I live in Ireland and thinking of going back to get work but would need a license and I and originally from the UK so address and I that ill have.
