Most of your fast fashion shops such as Topshop won't stock them as they just aren't in fashion because they look awful. Is there a reason you need bookcut jeans

    Perhaps for wearing over boots?

Some people just don't have the legs for Skinny jeans... myself included.

Next do great bootcut jeans . They are in the lift slim and shape range. Really nice fit and shape .

Oasis have a couple of styles.

The catwalks were full of wide leg trousers and flares for this season but the high street hasn't really followed on - very little available in the shops.

Gap? I have a couple of pairs of the Perfect Boot ones and really like them. Sizing runs a little big and they are quite long.

Are bootcut and skinny the only options now?

    What about straight leg??

I don't get people who say they need boot cut jeans because of their shape? What kind of shaped lower foot do you have that it needs to go out at the bottom? Just get some straight fit, they won't be tight on your legs.

Also why would you want to cover up your shoes/boots unless they look awful, you should be showing off your shoes/boots.

On men, I think boot cut is a no no. On women, I think it can look pretty good, sort of a 70's retro look. Victoria Beckham wore them rather well, as did Kate Beckinsale.

My two cents. Sorry I can't be of any help regarding where to get them.

Levis still do them. You can get them in Arnotts or the store on Grafton street I'm sure. A deffo no no for men but whatever you're into I guess.

Very skinny jeans on men is a temporary fad, parts of the middle east look unfavorably on them, along with v-neck tees, deemed far too unmanly.

Gap usually do boot cuts, anything from gap is usually good for +/- 10+yrs as they go for americana-classico type of thing.

Yeah but you can wear straight fitting jeans and still not wear skinny jeans, there is a differance and I don't understand why the association with anything not bootcut = skinny.

I'm nearly afraid to respond here such is the judgemental nature of this thread, for the record I wear slim fit or straight fit jeans along with one pair of flare boot cut (zathan from Diesel)
Diesel do great boot cut jeans and they are all available from the Kildare village outlet at knock down prices, three styles, Zathan are a flare bootcut, new fanker are a slim fit bootcut
you'll get the idea here but the prices in Kildare are much cheaper

edit. the diesel I am referring to is the Italian company, not the Irish version that is available throughout the country, bloody confusing that.

I have the same problem. Legs like tree trunks. Even the straight leg are too tight. I recently bought two pairs of bootcut from Burton and they're perfect. I tried everywhere down here in Kerry, went to Cork and Limerick. Nothing. Wandered into Burton one day and there they were.

Very hard to get them anymore with the pretty boy phase going on.

    Oasis scarlet. Lovely fit

(Is this for male or female?)

I don't really understand this, bootcut and straight cut are the same apart from where they flare out nearer the ankle.

Unless your legs are somehow shaped like Popeye's arms, you shouldn't have an issue with straight cut jeans.

The straight leg "feels" tighter than bootcut. And I like to be comfortable in my clothes. Unless you have big legs you won't get it.

I do have big legs, and I feel no difference between the two cuts.

Sorry. I didn't realise everyone had to feel the same way!

My legs are quite skinny but I am wider across the waist and have a bigger chest- flared jeans work for me as they balance me out. I wear them with trainers or flip flop sandals in the summer.
I agree it's so hard to find them! I got a pair in Gap but be careful of sizing as they are too big- the same with a lovely faded pair I got on asos.
I must try Levi's, thanks everyone for the suggestions- and you should wear whatever you feel comfortable in or YOU think looks good-no one can say anything is a no no.

I presume you are woman. There seems to be a lot of wide leg or flared trousers around on websites but I don't know how well they filtered into the brick and mortar shops. Zara have quite a few on their website so it might be worth checking the store.

Btw yes we get it boot cut for men is a no no. But do we really have to have a discussion about it again and again not knowing weather op is a woman or a man. Boot cut or wide leg for women can look great with high heels because it elongates the leg. As long as you pay attention to the right height of the heel/length of the leg.

I don't get the whole "boot cuts are the only jeans that fit". I know plenty of rugby guys with huge legs who where slim or straight leg jeans with no issues. Yes they might be a bit tight but they look far better than boot cut jeans which are fairly horrific

Levi's normally has a selection of bootcut jeans... At least this is where I got few pairs of bootcuts.
