My front door needs replacement screws - I measure them at 5.5mm x 30mm. This corresponds to an imperial no. 12 x 1 1/4". Grange have them in boxes of 200 but I can't find them in Dublin in smaller quantities. Anyone know if B&Q or someone do these? I can order them on eBay but it seems silly somehow!

If they are for the hinge then they don't have to be the exact same size. A half a mil won't matter.
Also B&q screws are made from cheap soft metal. They snap or you'll ring the head on them

do you know any tradesmen? buy a few from them.

They're for the hinge, yes. Sure I'll try M5 and see - I'm likely being too pedantic! Good idea on the tradesmen - there's a few around near my place at the moment... Thanks.
