Whats the fastest way in your opinion to reseed a field?
Plough and till? Direct drill? Einbock? Other method you've seen?

    Fastest is direct drilling.

I reckon spray off silage crop about a week before cutting and direct drill. Might be worth having soil test done now so any P&K needs are sorted before you reseed.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

Can you direct drill or stitch into current grass cover or does it have to be sprayed off

Ya you can, if you've no scutch or docks to get rid of, needs a fair bit of management afterwards though. Old sward needs to grazed hard, then kept in check so it doesn't compete with the new grass until it gets going properly.

No bother keeping grass grazed tight around here :)
