i know that if you loose a case , you have a few weeks to appeal but in the event that someone decided to ( foolishly given the circumstances ) pay a fine and just take their conviction on the chin

are their any circumstances where one could attempt to revisit a case , im talking ten years later ?

in my own case , i lost due to a hopeless legal team , a notoriously eratic judge and a blatant attempt by the guards to steer the outcome in one direction

Section 2 of the Criminal Procedure Act 1993, should you meet the conditions therein. It's unlikely that you do given it was a fine.
