Can I apply for a working holiday visa while abroad?

I want to apply for the Australia 417 working holiday visa whilst in Thailand but not sure exactly what documents I will need. I've checked online loads of times and found no definitive checklist of documents online. I'd rather not go to Thailand and find out that I need extra documents. Will a passport suffice? I leave in two days.

You can apply online it doesn't matter what country you are in as long as it's not Australia (for you first WHV), usually just your passport details is required. Probably take about 48hrs.

I applied in Burma about 8 years ago. Didn't need anything more than passport and basic details then. Worth bringing photocopies (or upload scanned copies) of important docs anyway, always useful to have when travelling for an extended period.
