7 seater or not? Advice please

    HI,

    I've a volvo V70 D5... great car, three baby seats fit across the back row and a huge boot... it has served me well...

    It's time though to get a replacement car... tax is 1080 which is too much and its feeling the wear and tear of being a 2003 car..
    i want to pay maximum around the 500 tax mark... although ideally 280 tax...

    I've looked at citreon c4 picassa - a 2010/11 one will cost between 11-13k, has low tax and spacious... have seen the S-max (pricier) also would consider the mazda 5 (like the sliding door )

    I'd also consider a sorrento 7 seater and similar but the tax is a lot ...

    I'm wondering if i actually need a 7 seater ?
    If i could get a 5 seater crossover that was spacious in the back (i.e. kids can walk in to the car and climb in their seats i'd consider it) - high roof etc.

    With a 7 seater i'm probably going to have them all in a row anyway so am wondering why i really need one... One of my kids is close to a booster seat and one of the others is about a year off a booster..

    would appreciate any thoughts... ideas or recommendations... it will be my wife who drives this mainly so... citreon c4 grand picasso prob a good option...however if anyone could recommend a very spacious 5 seater id consider it...
