Really?? In what way?? Thought it was excellent myself. Portrayed the timeline of events as they happened. Captured the dedication and thoroughness of these individuals in their endeavour to capture the killer. If you are going to criticise, please do expand on why. There is no charge on using extra words on boards.ie :)

EDIT: ive literally just noticed the OP has closed his account.

Excellent drama - we take DNA fingerprinting for granted nowadays. Funny to think it was well within my lifetime that the breakthrough was made.
I just looked it up - the nonce is due to be released next year. So the drama was a timely caution as well as a history lesson.

Found it very interesting, the first murder case to be solved using DNA, smart and brave move by the chief detective to use it

Watched both parts last night and really enjoyed it. Sure it's pretty much a grimmer, less glossy C.S.I. Leicester and there was nothing here we haven't seen a dozen times before but that doesn't matter given that it told an interesting story. I think that people have been spoilt by fast cuts, CGI, pretty people and all the glitz and glamour of modern TV and as such expect if from everything they watch. Visually Code of a Killer looked great with some gorgeous compositions The scene where David Threlfall's character approaches the second body was truly breathtaking, the use of slow motion was spot on and while he didn't speak his expression said it all, he looked liked he had the weight of the world on his shoulders.

Simm was something a little different, his performance was good but I couldn't help but feel that he was a little out of his depth at times. There was no gravitas to his performance and some of his reactions were of a man who went to the shop but forgot to get milk. Still for the most part he was good and the fact that this was a show about murder that didn't try to pass off the rape and murder of teenage girls as entertainment you have to tip your hat to them. It's not great TV but it is damn good TV and one which is rather old fashioned and all the better for it
