I've always loved Pop punk bands like paramore, green day, sum 41, alkaline trio etc.
but I was wondering if there was any decent Irish Pop punk bands at the moment?

There has never been a decent pop punk band. From anywhere. Ever.

Galway's had a splurge of em. Someone like Chewing on Tinfoil maybe?

More ska-punk, but certainly poppy tunes. Can't think straight with all this sun. Will link more when they come to me.

Not current, and technically not pop-punk, but the Undertones are not too far away

    THIS. SO MANY TIMES.

I set up an unofficial MySpace page for them back in 2006 and when Clemo came across it he sent me loads of free merch. Was great, I used to wear my Mixtwitch t-shirt all the time! :P

There used to be 4 pop-punk bands in Dublin that played support at every single gig I went to in 2007-2009ish :pac: UK and US bands wouldn't bring their support with them cause it was too expensive, so I ended up seeing the same local bands about 10 times each. I didn't really like two of them as well. Jody Has A Hitlist were decent at one stage, not sure if they ever got an album out.

And yeah, The Undertones are still good!

Seems like you're in dire need of some proper actual pop punk by the way. Check out Iron Chic, RVIVR, Pansy Division, Lunachicks and The Epoxies.
