hi i have an Avensis lean burn model i was at the lights ready to take off when i couldnt then i tried to get it in to gear and it would not go into any gear.

after while i turned the engine off and then it went in to gear and i took off i thought she was a bit slow staying around the 50 Km she cut out on me

but then i got her going and she was driving fine there was power i even stopped the car with handbrake on and took of in 1st and she was pulling

Is this telling me something serious is about to happen should i get her to mechanic any clues or help greatly appreciated

    Thanks in advance

Usually when this happens it is caused by a clutch disc problem, specifically one of the springs having fallen out of place.

You will know in the next day or so but if it happens again then you will most likely need a new clutch yes.
