    e5832s I've an old one of these lying about that I want to lend the inlaws for a bit. the sim cards that's in it seems to be invalid though it looks like its working otherwise. Is it likely that I can just get a new sim card for it (same network) and top up / get on internet?

    Yes it will take another sim no bother.
