Looks like I'll be working at a few BSB rounds this year as well so here's a few pics from Donington. Came away really impressed by the championship, well worth a trip to the UK for a race during the year

BSB has a lot of decent riders in it this year, lots of them forced out of WSBK due to the lack of competitive rides or more likely not being able to bring wads of cash to pay for their ride.
Its probably the highest quality field I have seen yet.
The lack of electronics will make it very interesting as well, from a purists viewpoint.
Lots of people having a little trouble adjusting to a 200 hp bike with minimal traction control after riding with rider aids for the last few years.

There was a vey serious accident in the Superstock 600 yesterday, James Puttrell and Jordy de Jonge went down and both suffered serious head injuries. It is dreadfully sad, hopefully they will pull through and recover well.

Sad to see this type of news and very unfortunate that it's another serious crash at brands. Personally I think that the Indy track is a silly track and one that doesn't have a place on a modern calendar. the GP track is a different story though, it's mega

I wonder about Brands, the First BSB race on Sunday had them falling like skittles and John Surtees' Grandson was killed racing on the GP track a few years ago. I love to see the racing from there but safety must be an issue there now.

Sickening crash..reminded me of Simoncellli a few years ago...notice they didnt show it again, had it recorded so i could watch it again (just once)..horrible....
As said the indy track is nonsence, andi for one cant understand them using it...
Great racing though, brilliant for Kevin Keyes....
    Ellison was on form..........

So,e reports on line that after spending a long period in an induced coma Jordy de Jonge is making a good recovery, talking, eating and even some walking with assistance. Couldn't find any word on James Puttrell unfortunately.
