Cheers, got a text alert from them with this offer but it was on April 1st so I thought it might be a (poorly-judged) gag! :D

Nope, still called Eddie Rockets in Dublin

Rockin joes is basically a group of former ER diners but are now unrelated to Eddie Rockets.

    Story here

Not worth it lads unless ur just getting a burger. Fries and drink normal price so 3.50 for fries and 2.50 for regular drink. 8 euro then for the meal.

Thanks for the heads up OP

Went to the one in Waterford when it opened first - seriously unimpressed and not a patch on the old eddies. Won't be going back.

Good price tbf, but I would definitely agree it's not as good as Eddie Rockets

Not really , they have adopted an austerity menu.
25 quid for two adult meals and two kids. Not a bad price

Considering their main branch in Limerick was given a closure order by the FSAI recently, I wouldn't touch them. Also, their chips suck and milkshakes are overpriced.

Got a hotdog last night, it was much lower quality than when it was Eddy Rockets. Not going back.

What kind of quality standards do you apply to a hotdog to rate one higher than the other?

It was smaller, the hue was off (never seen a hotdog that kind of pink), texture was off and it did not taste as good as it did when it was eddie rockets.

Yeah i went recently to one in cork, the quality has gone down seriously, the chips are now basically like overdone cheap ass canteen chips. They are also still as expensive as ever if not more so though.

I'm going out on a limb here but perhaps one tasted good while the other tasted crap ??

Salamanca22 was polite enough to indulge me, it's the post following mine, #19, posted 12hrs and 2posts before your own post, just if you'd like to hop off the limb you're going out on :)
