Am in the product process of building a shower room with a time tiled floor but was just wondering with the gulley drain in the middle i will have around 900mm either side of it.
So i was just wondering is a 10mm fall sufficient or its more needed?

6 mm would even do. Once there's any kind of a fall the water will make it's way to the drain.

You'd be best off to use a floor former, if your talking 900 x 900, you can get a 1000mm x 1000mm floor former, can be cut to shape if required. The floor former will set up the correct angles from all 4 sides, the fall would be about 15mm over the 500mm from the center to the edge.

900mm either side of shower tray equals 1800mm to 1900 mm walk in shower.10mm fall in a ceramic shower tray would be ok.10 mm fall over 900mm is not enough because tiles and grout have more surface resistance than a ceramic shower tray.Floor formers are expensive and have there uses in some situations but not in your case.
if you set the top of the gully 10mm below the height of floor and perimeter of shower tray and your using a tile 10 mm thick this will give you a fall of approx 20mm over 950mm which would be about right.you can float a sand and cement walk in shower with correct falls accurate to the mm

    Hi,

Just pondering the different details for the wetroom.

What kind of drain have you used?
