So I've found a good deal on a set of vrs covert 2.0 irons with a regular shaft.

My driver swing is 100 to 105 mph.
Not sure what my 6 iron swing is but would I need stiff shafts on my irons as well?

    Thanks

It really depends on how you swing the irons. If you a smooth rythmic swinger with your irons it won't make any difference, it's more a weight preference regular shafts will be lighter than stiff or extra stiff.
If you are a strong big hitter a heavier shaft will help your rythm and timing.

Irons off the rack can be too long so best get fitted. (Not by a salesman though)

Irons are not about getting max distance they're about having nice gaps between clubs.

Ya I'd say I'd be better of spending a bit more and getting fitted properly.
I'm left handed though so the shops don't even have demo clubs I can hit.

Id be surprised if the bigger retailers like Halpenny or McGurks don't have leftie demos in the bays.

Went to american golf. Went into the bay and hit one ball and he said I was definitely a stiff shaft so thankfully I didn't buy those regular shaft irons.
Hit the Callaway x2hot. Some strike off them.

What type of stiff shaft? There is quite a variance in them.

Well we were just talking in general terms. I'm basically standard so I can buy off the shelf so if I was to buy he was telling me to get the stiff.

So a sales person in a shop said you're basically standard and luckily enough they had just the set for you waiting on their shelf?

Try another store or two to get a free second opinion if you're in doubt. Won't cost you anything.

Bit of a slur on golf sales people there. I've met some that would sooner turn you away (and get repeat business as a result) than force something onto you.

Can't imagine that custom fitters are holier than thou when it comes to making sales either.

Nope they actually only had regular on the shelf so he was totally honest cause he knew he wasn't getting a sale that day.
He didn't even try and sell me the regular so fair play to him
