    Hi.

My wife got from the dealership she works for a machine polisher, some compound and some wax. She recently bought a black car but it seems very dull and I think a machine polish will really help it.

I'm just not sure how to use these products and I'm worried about damaging the paintwork. Can anybody advise me on what is the order or procedure I should be doing?

    Thanks

It looks like an anglegrinder! It's a sealy 150mm lightweight polisher with variable speed.

Seems like another DA polisher then. People singing its praises on detailing world so it's probably grand.

What sort of polishes came with it?

You have to pretty thoroughly clean the car before going near it with a polisher.

That publication must be really old, it's talking about using a transformer and a porter cable.

Strangely, my 8 year old son actually asked me for a transformer for Christmas. Didn't know what the hell he owned that ran on 110v, but got him one anyway. But he was still disappointed. So I've one for sale if you are going to follow that guide.

Very good find. Filed and saved.

Sounds more like a rotary to me
    Be careful.
Dual action are forgiving in untrained hands.
    Rotaries can be the opposite.

Yeah, seems hard to find details on it, even from sealey. Looks like it is a rotary after all.
