    Anyone watching?

All I will say is... Supermarionation FTW.

Yeah, I only saw a few minutes but it didn't look right.

Maybe the kids will love it but it didn't seem to have captured anything which made the original series so iconic.

Terrible stuff I'm afraid (okay I'm as old as the originals!) the boy band representation of the Tracy sons was quite bad enough but worse was the digital effects that rendered everything like a wii game (even where 3D modeling was used they put a filter over the whole thing so it looked like CGI "models") plus the awful relentless music score which was not only loud it was dull generic stuff. Not at all stirring.

Thunderbirds are go, again! The classic show is making another comeback - this time in puppet form.
Director Stephen La Rivière will adapt audio-only recordings from 1966, turning them into three new episodes made in the classic Thunderbirds style

La Rivière will use the puppets and sets he faithfully recreated when making 2014 documentary Filmed in Supermarionation, which took a closer look at the production methods used in the original series.

Pre-production is underway after the Thunderbirds 1965 project launched a Kickstarter page earlier this month and passed its £75,000 target.

La Rivière said: "For Filmed in Supermarionation, we shot new sequences with the puppets using the old fashioned techniques.

The new animated version is absolutely awful. Like Thomas the Tank Engine, Postman Pat and Fireman Sam, they've swapped all the charm that these old shows had for something a six year old could make with an app on an Iphone, all to make a quick quid. The worst thing is, the kids think that these new ones are the right ones, and the old shows are wrong.

Rendering Thomas and his fellow engines in CGI, and making their mouths move, is just plain wrong. :(

To get back on topic, good on Mr La Rivière. :):):)
