    When are penalty points normally issued?
    I'm not sure if I was speeding or not past a speedvan.
    How long does it take for the points to arrive?

    The old man had a letter through post with fine issue and info request about a week after he got caught.

    Thanks. From what I remember, the last time I got points it was pretty close to the time also. But I'm sure I've heard of people getting them about a month afterwards so I'm not out of the woods yet.

    Once the fine has been paid/ or court case finished.

    Sometime after that you'll get a letter that points have been added.

    can take weeks to months !

    Sorry I meant the fine then, the first notice that you are being done for speeding.
