    Simple answer, no.

Its a bit like the recording facility of your box, if you pay $ky a monthly fee, then they will let you watch whats on your HDD, otherwise its gone.

When I cancelled my $ky and asked them about using the recording capability of my box they wanted £10 per month.

    G.T.F.

There is software that you can get, how freely I dont know but its meant to be a huge pain in the ass to get recordings off the box and actually working. Its supposedly such a pain that its not really worth doing when you could prob stream it or download it a thousand times before you would have it transferred off the box. I dont know the name of the software or how it works but im sure google might help you out there.

There is no discussing anything that involves cracking a conditional access system here

You can record material on your TV if you have Freesat on a non-subscription basis unless the recordings are from a Pay TV Channel.

What is the name of the programmes you recorded on your Sky box?

Ah sky, where you own a PVR box that records, it's yours, you own it, but you must pay subscription to use the recording functionality :)

The program that obezyana is talking about is called Extract+.

It will ONLY extract free to air recordings not recordings from encrypted stations. This does not break any CAS.

Ah right that's how it works I didn't know that. It definitely wouldn't be worth the effort so and when things are so easily available online nowadays it would be quicker to download/stream. :)
