Theory Test CD wont work

    Hi,
    I have 2 theory test cd's and none will work,
    My laptop is windows 8, I installed a windows VLC player even to try and play it but it plays other Dvd's but just not the theory test cd, somebody please help me, Thanks

    Have you tried bringing them into an internet cafe perhaps and checking will they work in there on the pc's?
    Could the dvd's be scratched or damaged maybe?

    Have you tried your local library? They may have one that you could use in there.

    Just some thoughts,

    Thanks for the reply lads, they read in the laptop perfectly but its ment to play like a DVD (so i was told) but i have to click onto each picture/recording etc.

    As far as I remember you have to run the file installing the program onto your computer first. It will create a folder on your Desktop. Then you should be able to launch the Theory Test program by clicking on that "L" icon. My disc worked that way.

    Yes that does not come up when i put the disc in.

    Then probably you could look through the files and folders on that disc and launch the installation manually. There should be a file named "setup.exe" or "setup.ini" or similar.

    If it's the official RSA cd then it installs a slightly different version of the software thats used in the test centers on your computer rather than playing videos of the questions

    Maybe try running it in compatibly mode.
