I bought one in 6.5 cal from Pat Carley and use it on my 6BR - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
Very light, great sound reduction, strips for cleaning in 30secs and very well made. Had no effect on accuracy, 1/2 inch groups @ 330yds

Anyone try them out on rimfires?, was wondering what they are like on a .17hmr

I use one with .22 cal baffles on my .204 and find it very effective. +1 to everything jay says re noise, weight, construction.... And being modular in design baffles can be added or removed as desired. I added an extra baffle to mine and it improved noise reduction further.
I also highly recommend. And Paddy Carley too.

If you had one for your centre fire I don't see why the likes of a 22 cal wouldn't also be very effective on a hmr but if your buying specifically for a hmr it becomes a very expensive option
