Ok I've got the price for the board. Any idea how much to fit it?

Probably two call out charges plus board plus the vat

Get the boiler serviced. Any decent Rgi will include this as part of the service, or charge a little extra. That's assuming it's the board. Who diagnosed the faulty board?

Also, there are two types of ideal minis, one has 2 boards, the other has a combined board.

    which do you have?

It's the single board type model. I guessed it was gone but the RGI dismantled it and confirmed it. They're stupidly expensive but it looks like I'll be able to source a refurb with the same warranty as new from the UK. I'm just wondering on a fair price to fit and service the boiler too.

Honestly, I wouldn't fit a second hand component, regardless of who refurbished it.

It will always end up being the responsibility of the RGI who certified the repair.

The RGI is happy enough to do it I just don't have the cash for a new one almost €300 vs €130 for a refurb with exchange of the failed board. So is €150 steep to fit and service the boiler incl. his original call out?

    Not steep at all.

RGI is happy enough to do it until something goes wrong!
