Wedding Suit Hire/Buy

My fiancée wants a lighter navy suit – smart cut (not the real formal type you see e.g. remus).
We went to a place who hire or sell suits and they don’t have the smart cut suit at all for hire and they don’t do navy at all to hire in any shade. However they do have the perfect navy suit for sale.
We then went to another hire shop who have the more formal style suits for hire in navy but its in a slightly darker shade of navy than she would like BUT they are way more cost effective.
Being a tight arse I’m plumping for the cheaper alternative but can see her point on the other ones being more suitable for what she likes.
    The cost (after discount):
Buying: £165 per suit (no shirts or ties)
Hire: £90 per suit (with shirts & ties)

    I have two questions:
Does anyone know anywhere in the north who would hire the suit we’re after??
If I was to buy the suits what are the likely hood that I could sell second after wedding and if so how much?
Any other advise would be great also!

Would you not just buy one to keep? You'll always use a good suit.

Having that debate myself at the moment. Have to start doing some research in my local Kildare area to see about prices between hiring and buying. I would like to buy, if it worked out well enough. Like the idea of having it for more than just one day.

I see where your coming from, an expensive that we'd all like to avoid! we're buying the grooms suit and hiring the rest. Once the hire suits were picked the shop let us take a jacket for a few days so my fiancé could match the right colour and purchase our own. Our fathers suits are slightly off colour as we neither are slim fit men but I'm sure that no one even notices these things :D

There's some gorgeous suits in Kildare Village in the Savoy Tailors Guild shop. That's where my OH is planning to get his navy/blue suit.

I was just going to say the outlet centre too, Pink had some lovely suits or pieces and ted baker have a lovely fit I must say.. Based in Cork we went around to have a look at the rent/buy option and it was always nearly cheaper to buy.. There is a shop called Gentlemens quarter had lovely snug fit suits and in navy I can try and get the brand name of the suits if you want, they were quite smart looking...

As for six suits ouch, do ye all want to wear suits for defo ye could just go down the smartly dressed route
