surprised to see barrables get franchise their premises are not in great location in airside . Assume they are giving up other brands ?

From what I can see from Hyundai, the equivalent Kia is a couple of grand dearer, defiantly when you compare the i40 to the Kia Optima. Mad to see Kia as a 'premium brand'.

    Kia picanto €11800 / Hyundai i10 €11995
    Kia Rio €15250 / hyundai i20 €14995
    Kia ceed €19650 / Hyundai i30 €20495

Not much between them like for like

    Kia Optima from 30995
    Hyundai i40 from 25995

Granted, but nobody buys the optima anyway. Other than that their cars are pretty evenly matched for price.

Does look like they have reworked the prices since I last looked, there was a bigger difference about a year ago.
Your right Colm, the Optima does not sell in big numbers compared to the i40 but every time I see one on the road I do stare. 5k is a noticeable amount but if I was buying one I'd have to be leaning toward paying for the Optima. Maybe it's rarity adds to its exclusivity?

117 vs 973 this year, granted a good few of those are garda cars.
