I'm looking for a DJ or performed (rapper/singer/band) for my 18th in August (it's early I know lol). I want someone who is quite good, price is not an issue. Basically my 18th party will be held in a markee at my house, and then a bus into town later that night.

All suggestions would help, contact information and price range would be brillant. T.I.A

To be honest, if you are going into town (A bad idea in my opinion for an 18th by the way), I'd almost say not to bother with pre-entertainment. If you kick off at the house for 8, people will arrive by 10, and you'll be heading into town for around 12 anyway. You won't get a crowd warmed up in 2 hours pre-midnight and you'll be paying for a DJ who is essentially an iPod before you go out.

Something different might be a band alright, if you could find a mates band that could do some covers if you have an older crowd. Mingling music as I call it.

Personally, speaking from playing 18th and 21st events, for your schedule I wouldn't recommend a full blown DJ set up.
