Gave my car it's first wash today. Looks soo good . Shines . Fresh looking.

What is the easiest way to keep it like this till the PCP finance is due and I need to sell it on in 3 years.
I know to use a second bucket to rinse my wash mit And chamois dry. But that's it.

In the real world I won't have time to spend all day detailing the car. Kids and work and all that.

Is there a magic potion that keeps the paint and alloys fresh without taking a day to apply?

    Congratulations on the new car.

There's another thread called "NEW CAR TREATMENT ADVICE" and I've copied the instructions from an expert (Curran) as below... I have been following this since i took the delivery of my new car and I've to say that the car looks better than it looked on the 1st day.

Give it a coat of good wax to protect the paint, i used Collinte 845.

Oh yeh. .. Chamois is a no no!!

    Instruments as below...
    ............................................

Get yourself... - A good wash mitt - Two large buckets - Good shampoo, pH neutral - A microfiber drying towel

Wash the car regularly, using the Two Bucket Method, drying with the microfiber drying towel. Doing that alone will keep the paintwork fresh. Adding protection will enhance the finish and help protect the paintwork - A good wax or sealant, and apply it every few months

Other than that, a few other things that you might consider to keep it looking very well without being too much of a perfectionist, but keeping it looking as though its well looked after... - Wheel Cleaner - Tyre Dressing - Glass Cleaner

That will keep it looking its best - good luck with the new car - health to enjoy it!

    Thanks bbari :)
    You've saved me some typing.

If you are looking for a magic potion type product that is quick and easy to apply, I strongly suggest you look at two products....

    1) CarPro HydrO2 (concentrate to be diluted with distilled water) or HydrO2 Lite (the Ready to Use version) - wash the car, rinse it down, and while its still wet, spray on the product to a panel, let it sit for 10 seconds, power hose off, move to the next panel, wet it, and repeat the process. Takes about 10 mins to do the whole car, and once its done, simply dry the car.
The car will be protected for over 3 months - quick, easy, enhances shine, and can be applied to wheels, though will be less durable due to the harsher conditions they are put through.

    2) CarPro Reload - spray on, buff in type product. It contains fillers (not that you should need it on a new car) what will help hide any light defects in the paint, will give the paint an added shine, and durable for 4-6 months. Wash and dry the car, spritz a few sprays onto a panel, buff it in with a microfibre until clear, move to next panel and repeat. Job done!

The are the durable options, but there are other similar options that would be less durable but if you apply every 2nd or 3rd wash, should be durable enough to get you between applicatons; Chemical Guys Speed Wipe or Blitz, Orchard Autocare Perfection, Dodo Juice Red Mist or similar
