I've just come from interview for McDonalds Portlaoise for crew member.
    A lady from senior management me down in restaurant in a quiet corner, she was nice but professional, no small talk, straight into questions but was smiling so I wasn't nervous. It was half an hour long and I wore jeans, black flat shoes, blouse, minimal jewellery & make up and hair tied back;

    1. Where did u hear of vacancy?
    2. Do u live locally?
    3. Where did u work previous?
    4. What was ur favourite part of that work and ur least favourite part and why?
    5. What can u bring to the role?
    6. What do you know about the company?
    7. Why u wanna work here?
    8. What would be ur ideal role in the company? (crew member, hostess, manager etc)
    9. Where do u see yourself in the future? - 5 yrs time?
    10. Do you have any other relevant experience u want to tell me about?
    11. WHO IS UR ROLEMODEL? (did not see that one coming) and why?
    12. What are ur hobbies?
    13. Have u any commitments that will stop you taking this role?
    14. Are ur hours flexible?
    15. Do you have any questions for me?

She wrote furiously while I answered questions.

I asked was she happy with my qualifications - 10 yrs in admin, college degree, all that jazz. She said "if u can flip a burger, u can work at McDonalds, we never look at qualifications here but provide opportunities to the right person with the right attitude"

My advise is to be yourself, show confidence, maturity and understanding about how business works ie. u live to keep the customer happy. And teamwork, try to mention examples of how u understand why good teamwork and fulfilling ur obligations makes for successful business. I said how I knew I would be representing the company name while at work and keeping the place clean was important given that its a food outlet. Oh ya, and you love kids!!

    Good Luck!
