Begginers Make up Course

    Hi All,

I'm not sure if this query is more suited to here or the Dublin forum. I am looking for a simple make up course in Dublin or even online! I don't want to be a beautician and the only courses I can seem to find when I google courses is ITEC accredited courses that cost a small fortune.

I am basically just looking for a course that will teach me the basics. I suck at eye make up and contouring and would love to learn how to do it properly.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    Any advice is much appreciated.

Some make p counters do master classes on particular makeup looks. You won't get a certificate or anything but I know places like ingot do them fairly regularly and they're always free or have a small fee that's redeemable against products! I think they also do intensive 3 day courses that cost about 200€ but I could be thinking of another brand. Hope this helps!

Make up forever, on Clarendon st(I think!) in Dublin run a variety of courses throughout the year for just regular people, as opposed to make up artists, so they could be worth a shot!

I was looking at this recently. The likes of benefit, MAC make up counters in BT grafton st do them for 40euro I think for an hour long class and the price is redeemable against products. I did a smokey eye makeup lesson with benefit before and it was easy to follow and gave me brilliant tips.

If you feel a bit conscious of being at the counter getting it done, you could ask for a quieter time. Though I was in there Thursday evening and a good few people were getting their make up done and no-one batted an eye.

I think Smashbox in Debenhams (Henry St) are starting a 4 week course soon. Might be worth a look!
