    I came across some old stamps in an attic and was wondering if there worth anything.i will attach pictures shortly

    There is a 2p ireland 2d stamp but how can I tell what year it's from

    Attached website has pictures of many of the Irish stamps issued to date and sets out its current retail prices. Examine very carefully the condition of the stamps you have as that's where many old-time collections fall down.

    If it's the Irish 2d green 'map' definitive you have, the one to look out for is imperforate on the sides and perforated at the top and bottom. That's the experimental 2d coil and worth quite a bit.
