Organising birthday drinks Thursday night. Any options after midnight giving our idiotic ban on drinking good Friday?

Off licence (preferably not Dunnes as that'd involve crossing a picket) before 10 and somebody's house is probably the only realistic idea tbh

Someone mentioned that Ryans on Wexford/Camden St was open until 330am last holy Thursday. Here's hoping! Will stock up on the non Dunnes Stores booze at home just in case. Cheers.

The only premises licensed to sell alcohol on good friday are Hotels (residents only), theatres, greyhound tracks or trains/boats.

No idea what their deal is. Perhaps you could ask them.

    From their FB page.
This is it!!! We have launched the bookings for Good Friday!

This year it is going to be a very Good Friday for a lucky 300 people!
On Friday April 3rd, we are holding a ticket only event. In conjunction with National Flight Centre, ticket holders can avail of a scenic short flight, running buffet, music, and yes, the bar will be open for service! From 9am till late, we will be open only to valid ticket holders. The cost of this package is €50 per person. For more information please contact a member of staff in the restaurant. Once the tickets are sold there will be no more availability due to flight times. Demand is high so book early. Alternatively call 01 6217370.
As in all cases flights are weather dependent. A limit of 3 people per flight.

I imagine it's something to do with taking a flight?

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

They're an airport... airports are allowed to serve too, as are train stations.

Is taking a flight an exemption?

The whole thing is a bit mad really.

Keeping in mind it's someone's birthday so a trip to the airport at midnight would be slightly off track.

We were more hoping for a few replies or PM's with a location of a lock-in or a BYOB organised party.

    That sounds like entrapment.

Thread closed. OP, do not use this forum to look for illegal parties/lock in's again.
