My partner has just been offered a job with a government department and needs, amongst other things, her original doctorate/phd which cannot be found. The NUI office says it'll take seven days and the department says she has five days (not working days, days) to present the documentation or they will consider her not interested. Does anyone have some experience or advice about this??

If they're genuinely interested then they'll wait the two extra days.

If they're a civil service entity they won't.

Can she visit the NUI office directly to collect it? That might shave a few days off.
