Has anyone bought the Dell 14 3000? Thoughts? I know the processor is pretty poor and soldered (non-upgradable) but throw in a SSD and some more RAM (are there 2 DIMM slots?) and it would look to be a capable machine for most tasks, bar gaming obviously.

Given the price point it looks like a great deal, unless someone else could prove otherwise? Tempted!

I think it only has 1 DIMM slot.
    Works well with 4GB.
It's a 14" screen which is great for portability.....
    An SSD would/could be good.

At the end of the day, it's a decent priced office/internet laptop.
It's a very good price at €185 but I probably wouldn't pay above €220 for it as it is (without extra ram or SSD).

Thanks OP. Discount only applies to the base price, not the usual advertised after discount price, but still money off a machine I was about to buy is welcome.

Just wondering if has any opinion on this laptop?

I am looking for a 17" that is powerful enough to replace an old work desktop with a graphics card for casual gaming.

    Thanks

Goddammit, just bought the new XPS 13 on Friday, could have saved a few quid.

    Edit: Never mind, old post
