They are a cheap Chinese copy of a Honda engine and an interpump pump. They do the job don't expect 20yrs out of it though

7 ltr a minute wouldn't clean a slatted shed for you. After years of procrastination I bought a hawk pto washer there last week, had to get the geared model as pto is only 540. This cost an extra 300. Total was around 1300. I think pto option is safer as there's less to go wrong in it.

Thats a lot for a power washer, but its a better investment than buying cheap rubbish.
My budget doesn't stretch that far though:(

I got a PTO washer for 750. Not geared but have 1000rpm PTO on tractor. At 750rpm its doing 4000psi but even at 400rpm its got good cleaning power. Very happy with it. Had a kranzle electric one before that cost similar. Was crap in comparison and gave plenty of trouble.

I bought one of those in a foolish moment when buying some other tools ... and found that in order to replace the starter (which was shot) I needed to remove the fuel tank.

It's easy enough to do, the petrol tank is secured by a self tapping screw to the machine body.

For safety it's best to take the petrol out before removing the cap to get at the head of the screw.

Also the petrol leaks out a lot faster if you can't find a bigger screw to replace the one supplied.

You could I suppose drill another hole in the petrol tank next to the original hole, and add a second screw.

If you do seal up the tank (as I did) it's an easy machine to operate, but take the wheels off as they add weight and due to it's design you will be carrying it anyway, unless you want the hose jammed up and around the frame.

The on/off switch only works once, but it doesn't matter because you can tilt the machine back to stop it.

That sounds like a right ball of shire.
My budget can stretch to 700yoyos. I'd like a PTO driven one but I think I'll be out of luck unless I can make one up Diy somehow

I had one of those Chinese jobs here once upon a time. Tbh, the Honda copy engine would be the best part of it. The pumps are made out of plasticine.
DONT waste your money on one.
I bought a Hawk PTO one, without the gearbox, for €730. Was using it today, at even 1500 revs on the engine, it would be 3 times the washer of the other yoke.
I would certainly buy it again, if I was back at that stage. A turbo nozzle is a great yoke at muck or dung, but a no no with paint work, as it's very severe.

I'll second that on the paintwork

I would stick to the 3 brands i know anyway Cat, Interpump and Comet. I have a 2000psi, 13 lpm petrol driven Brendon Washer with the Cat pump.

I question them having an interpump pump, more than likely an unbranded chinese pos. An interpump alone would far exceed the price on that washer. If it is an interpump its a bargain.

We have a 2 honda gx390 power plants floating about mainly on large volume pumps, have an old sprayer tank rigged up to a 4000psi comet pump. made acarrier frame just undo 4 bolts and a grub screw undo a key way takes longer to hook on than change over. Handy to have portable washer with 60 mins wash time each load.

Is there any dealers in the west for the Hawk pto version (Clare/Galway/limerick) or even online?

Thicko question; are turbo nozzles generic or are they particular to different makes of washer (hose)?

You have to match the turbo nozzle to the specs of your washer i.e bar pressure and flow rate.
