Not sure if this is the correct section but I'll ask anyway....
I moved here over twenty years ago from the UK, I've been driving on my UK licence since then. There's another five years to go before the licence expires, but I've been thinking about exchanging it for an Irish Licence. (About time for ya, yes I know....)
Is it a fairly straightforward procedure, and how much does it cost to do this?

    According to citizens information.

If you have a driving licence issued by an EU/EEA member state you can drive in Ireland as long as your existing licence is valid. If you wish to exchange your driving licence for an equivalent Irish driving licence, you must do so within 10 years of your driving licence expiring.
