so I tried changing my ignition leads today but made the mistake of just diconecting them all from the distributor and couldn't remember which one went into which .

Does is matter what order u put them in ? Will I do damage if I just put them in randomly? Any help is really appreciated as I need to get to work tomorrow lol

Yes it matters! These leads determine the cyclinder firing order, so if they are wrong then the engine will not run properly.
Google your make and model and distributor leads and see what comes up

What you need is the 'firing order' for your car - for 4 cylinders its usually
    1-2-4-3 or 1-3-4-2.
Number 1 is usually the one at the cambelt end but for some engines number 1 can be at the gearbox end .
If you Google " firing order for (make) (model) (engine) etc" you should come up with helpful info and maybe some pics .
Because when you have the firing order you need to know which terminal on the dist cap is no. 1 and which way the rotor turns .
