The dog track is a really good night out. Its about 15mins from the city centre. The food is pretty good out there if you can get a table, the bar is open so it might be busy and fully booked. They come to the table to take bets and drink orders so you only need to leave to go to the loo.
Theres also a chipper which for junk food, is ok If you cant get a table. Theres usually a band on when the racing is finished.
