Anyone got any recommendations for good places to go furniture shopping? I want a new oak tv unit, nest of tables and console table. Looking for good quality items! Was thinking navan, there seems to be a few places there.

+1 for navan. We loved everything in EZ Living but chanced going to navan and got the couch we saw direct from manufacturers but with better discount and a wider choice of materials to choose from. Also got our bed and mattress. Only slightly cheaper but loads of furniture shops in the one estate-beechmount.

We're after getting a table and chairs made from sherlocks in navan...we have been up 3 times now to have a look at the work and they seem to do a great job. They have a good few bits in the showroom and then they seem to make to required size. Pricing is good too!

We've actually picked all our stuff from Sherlock too, great the way it's made to measure and you can opt for two tone....don't know why more places don't do that! Thanks 😊

Look for assembly that uses more screws or dowels than glue and nails. Check quality of springs by feeling how close together they are. Find couch cushions that are reversible or have coils. Feel the back and sides of couches and chairs to see if they're reinforced.

Pls start a new thread. Don't resurrect old ones
