Disappearing apps

This morning I woke up and there was apps missing from my phone. I've a HTC One mini 2. Youtube, twitter and settings are missing. I can't install them because I get a message saying I've not enough storage. This is not true. Any apps I do have I can't remove/uninstall because I get a message saying the app is not installed. Has this happened to anyone before and did you get it fixed?

What free storage does your phone say you have?
Open each of your big apps in Settings/Application Manager and clear their cache. Then if still giving problems, uninstall them and reinstall.

Check in widgets in your app tray for the settings shortcut. Can you not access it from the notifications pull down though?

Quick launch, settings app, anything that requires settings (wifi, ringtone etc), nothing opens. I've sent a mail to HTC support and I'm waiting on a reply. I take it no one has had this happen to them before then....
