    Hi,

Does anyone know where I would find flax growing in Ireland? I know nothing about its seasons, but I'd like to get photos of it in flower or being harvested if possible?

    Cheers :)

I'm not 100%, but someone was talking about this fairly recently, and I think there is flax growing between Malahide and Swords and Kinsealy.
Not sure if it's wild or farmed.

Also possibly growing up in Donegal. I'm sure I remember big blue fields when I was up there as a kid and being told it was flax.

When I was checking yesterday to see if there was any more information about Flax growing in Kinsealy etc.. That was a question that kept appearing in the results, so there seems to be a fair amount of people in the same boat.

Some cool pictures come up in the results too, old farms and farming etc..

Not quite, but yes at the same time.
Flax is taller and grown for the stem (fibres) and linseed is shorter and puts all energy into seed production for linseed oil.

So yes the same and different all at once.
