Has anyone any experience with getting dry needling done on their hip flexor? Was is successful? How many sessions did you need to have? Could you continue to train as usual after it? Last question, is it painful?

    Thanks.

    Got it done.
    Was it Successful? yes
How many sessions ? One (thank god)
Can you train after it ? Couldn't drive after it. It will take a day or two then a couple of easy runs.
Is it painful ? Yes but worth it.

Depends on they type of dry needling you get done. If the person uses a "fishing" technique it can be painful and sore after a few days. I personally am a fan of hooking electrodes up to the needles and sending a light electric stimulation through the muscle. Not as "intrusive" as the fishing technique. AS for the actual insertion of the needle, you hardly feel it at all! That is of course you hit directly in to a trigger point! :D

    Enjoy.
