Annoying Clicking Noise from Heater/AC

    Hi,

On long drive home yesterday evening I noticed an annoying clicking noise whenever the heater or ac is on. Noise sounds like it coming from behind the dash somewhere on passenger side.

Only bought the car about a month ago from a dealer and it came with a 6 month warranty. Should I be expecting the dealer to fix this under the warranty?

Was it constant or just for a short time after you turned on the heat? Could it just be the plastic expanding from the heat?

It's constant and stops immediately when I turn off the heater/ac:(

Try turning on the air recirculation or change the airflow to another setting to see if it occurs on all settings, will help pinpoint the problem.

I had this problem in my fto. It was really faint though. I figured it would be more hassle to diagnose than it would be to live with. It didn't happen all the time, but when it did, it was a constant click. I think it was onky when cold air was on though.

It happens on all settings and if anything gets slightly louder when the "air recirculation" button pressed.

Car is a Qashqai by the way.

Maybe there's something stuck in the fan.

Is that something I can get at easily? Reading up here and some folks saying they had to remove dash and all sorts to fix similar issues.
