Transferring FROM Ulster Bank TO PayPal

    Hi all,
I apologise, I know similar questions may have been asked before but I can't find any answers to my specific problem.
I have checked the PayPal FAQ.

I have an Ulster Bank account. I have my PayPal account with my bank account linked and credit card linked.
I have always been able to withdraw funds TO my bank account with no problem for a number of years.
I want to transfer money FROM my bank account TO my PayPal account.

The 'Top Up Account' section of PayPal is only providing me -
    Payee: PayPal Europe
    Payee's Bank: Deutsche Bank
    PayPal's IBAN: DE66120700883001537977
    BIC: DEUTDEDBPAL

When trying to add a payee on Ulster Bank anytime it wants the following -
Name of the person or company
    Their IBAN
    Their reference

The IBAN provided by PayPal reads as invalid on Ulster Bank's website because it is international so I try make an international payment...

    This is asking for -
    Sending to country
    Beneficiary name
    International Bank Account Number (IBAN)
    Bank Identifier Code (SWIFT BIC)
    Bank name
    Bank address
    Message to beneficiary

Now checking the BIC is actually giving me most of the information that Ulster Bank is looking for, including the bank address and such that PayPal did not provide.
I just want to make sure this is the correct way of transferring from an Ulster Bank account to my PayPal account.

    Thanks in advance!

I've actually opened a thread with the same question :). I'm also with ulster bank and trying to get paypal bank address without success. I've emailed paypal also without getting any answers. Seems like we may not get an answer here so I will try ringing them today and if I find out I'll let you know

Did ye ever resolve this issue?
I had paypal set up as a payee on my ulster bank account, but i havent needed to transfer money to my paypal account in well over a year, until today, and now the paypal payment details have changed and ulster bank wont let me set them up as a payee as its an international iban.
Havent tried the international money transfer, but surely that will charge me a fee anyway? Defeats the purpose of bothering to keep a balance on my paypal account just to avoid gifted fees really, as thats the only reason i top up my paypal.

    Any ideas anyone??

I've done this once but there shouldnt be a fee on euro to euro transfers.

Can you not just use the visa debit card attached to the bank account?

Yes, i gave it a go and there was no charge from my bank or the receiving bank, which is great.

To pay for goods and services yes, but if i want to transfer funds to family or friends, and dont have a balance on my paypal account, they charge a fee to transfer from my debit card.

Just another quick question, is there a reason why i cant choose my bank account as a payment option on paypal? Its confirmed and verified, but never comes up as a payment option, only the debit/credit cards do. Paying from a bank account doesnt incur fees but by card does.

You have to transfer in advance from your bank account via your online banking. Takes a day or so to be credited to your PayPal account.
