Becoming A Security Guard?

    Hi!

I just completed my courses in both Door Security & Static Security which are both Fetac/QQI Level 4.

My coach offered us a huge discount on a Retail Security course which is Fetac/QQI Level 5 for only €135! It's a one day course but I'm not sure if I should go...

Would it really be worth it to get the Fetac Level 5?

I'm struggling so much with money. I need to finish paying for my Static & DSP course as well as pay for my PSA license so that I can get working as soon as possible.

I'm currently working as a security guard for the last 4 years I can tell you that you don't need to fetac level 5 and it be a wates to you unless you are planing to move up as a supervisor in the near future.

Your static licence will cover you for any retail work out there and good luck in the job hunt.

Thank you very much :) I think I'll leave it and just save up for my PSA licence then! Can you recommend any good companies to apply for please? :)
