    Hi,

I'm learning Spanish with a personal tutor which is going okay. However, outside of class I get little or no time to practice from one week to the next. I need to ramp this up as I feel my progress is now stagnating.

Does ayone know of any online sites or suchlike where I could practice talking/listening. I would go to a meet, but my hours are irregular and I don't feel proficient enough yet to do so.

    Any suggestions appreciated.

    Thanks.

    https://www.verbling.com/

It's effectively Omegle for language learning (with less dicks).

I haven't used it yet myself but plan to when I get the time.

Duolingo.com is quite good and keeping your vocabulary up to scratch.

I'm trying to say in Spanish "I went to bed at mightnight."

I think that I go to bed at midnight is: "Me acuesto a medianoche."

How do I use the preterite with a reflexive verb? Is it: "Me acuesté a medianoche."

I'm trying to say in Spanish "I went to bed at mightnight."

I think that I go to bed at midnight is: "Me acuesto a medianoche."

How do I use the preterite with a reflexive verb? Is it: "Me acuesté a medianoche."

    It should be:

    Me acosté a medianoche.

Verbs like acostar (you may have learned them as "boot verbs") have stem changes, like o>ue, in the present indicative, present subjunctive and formal commands. But this vowel change doesn't happen in the preterite.

    me acosté
    te acostaste
    se acostó
    nos acostamos
    os acostasteis
    se acostaron

Here's a website I found for verb conjugations. OJO! There are some conjugations listed that modern Spanish rarely/never uses (Pretérito anterior, Futuro perfecto del subjuntivo)

    http://www.conjugacion.es/

I lived in Spain for many years. Another way you could say it is:

Ayer fui a la cama a medianoche.

Espero que te sirva la explicacion!
